Acupuncture is a therapy broadly used to relieve pain and is effective at treating a wide range of conditions. The U.S. National Institutes of Health publicly documented acupuncture’s safety and efficacy in 1997, although the ancient-Chinese technique has been around for over 3,000 years.
Acupuncture works by stimulating specific acupuncture points on the body. This is achieved Dr. Fruhling inserting very small, sterile needles into the points and then applying a low electrical current to the needles to further enhance the benefits. Turning, heating, pressure and suction are all ways of stimulating acupuncture points. Through many years of study and experience Dr. Fruhling has found electrical stimulation to be the most effective method.
